Our September spotlight goes out to Christian Life Prison and Recovery Ministries, founded by Bob S. CLPRM is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to helping those incarcerated and to stop substance abuse in the community by offering support to those actively struggling with addiction, as well as to their families. This ministry offers recovery meetings, resources, counseling, and referral services to those who wish to seek treatment.
“We know the problem in our community, it is an epidemic. We don’t have to hide it anymore. CLPRM provides a safe environment and a faith-based solution to addiction and recovery, which is a lot of what we do here.”, says Bob Sofronski.
From providing rehabilitation scholarships to those in need–to making their staff available almost 24hrs a day–are just small examples of what they do on a regular basis. “Road to Recovery has been one of the most important parts of CLPRM’s ministry. The objective of this outreach is to help those who are struggling with addiction and to help them know Jesus Christ in a personal way. So many try to get better on their own, but we know it is only through the power of God and His Word that they can receive deliverance from their battle of addiction. We gave out over 500 Life Recovery Bibles and 500 Purpose Driven Life in 2016.” To find out more of what this ministry has done over that past year, follow the link “here” (add link).
On September 9, 2017, CLPRM is holding their 5th Annual Music Fest in Bensalem “A Benefit Event to Help Fight Addiction”. People from all over the region come to hear great music and the stories of people who have overcome addiction. This event not only spreads the TRUTH that there is hope, but also brings those bound by addiction into liberation, and onto the journey of healing.
